As pages are scanned, the resultant digital images are saved, then reviewed by a quality control specialist to make sure the images are the best possible quality. Scanned paper documents can be seamlessly integrated with images from electronic discovery documents and exported into all popular litigation support formats.
OCR
For many forms of electronic evidence, such as email, searchable text can be automatically extracted and used to help search a database for useful documents. For scanned images, searchable text does not exist until the images are OCR’d (Optical Character Recognition). The resultant text files are essential to creating a database that can be effectively searched by keywords and phrases.
Electronic Numbering / Endorsing
Electronic control numbers are assigned to scanned images for organizational purposes on a page and / or document level. These numbers are a convenient way of referencing pages and documents within a collection and can be branded onto the images as a Bates number. Custom headers and footers can additionally be applied to the images upon request.
Image Conversion
eDiscovery Solutions can batch convert various file formats to tiff or pdf formats, enabling easy compatibility with your litigation support software.
Database Load File Conversion
eDiscovery Solutions can easily convert existing database load files from the leading litigation support software providers to the litigation support software utilized by your firm. (ie: Summation load file to Concordance load file, etc…).
